So Christmas break has been pretty awesome so far. Tommy my brother and his kids came into town which was awesome. I hadn't seen the kids in like a year and hadn't seen Tom for a few months so it was nice to see them. Tommy took me and Joe skiing which was a blast, they snowboarded and I skied because of the whole ankle thing. But it was still awesome. then I came home and had a few days to chill, along with basketball practice and running to the max. But it was nice to have time off of everything else. Then the whole varsity girls and guys teams went to Disney World for a tournament and it was awesome. it started out kinda crappy though. First we had to wait for like an hour for someone who was late to the bus, then when we got there we found out we had to play the best team at the tournament first. But after that it was awesome, we went to all the parks except for Universal b/c it's not actually part of Disney. The basketball was alot of fun too, we lost the first game by like 25 but it is understandable because they had 3 kids who are going division 1, so ya know. but then we won the next two, (first time all season we have won two in a row), and it was a real morale booster for the whole team. For the last game my dad came down to video tape me play which was nice of him and it ended up being a good game to come to. It was a very close game and I ended scoring 30 points which was a first for me in high school. Everyone is starting to play together more and we're finally starting to gel. So that was good. Then we had an awards ceremony in which I won the "All-Tournament Player" award for our team which really surprised me. Then they closed Magic Kingdom to the public and just the people from the tournament were allowed in and they stayed open til' 2 a.m.. So all in all it was a great trip, very exhausting, but still alot of fun. Anyways I figured I should post, so I did. Seeya around.

and again I post...

nothings been happening, just kinda same ol' same ol'. I'm just really bored and I know that everyone is dying to know what is up with Jacob (all 3 of you). Anyways so basketball is kinda sucking, we keep losing, we're 1 and 2 in the region and we have only played 1 decent team. The coach is kinda shafting me with P.T. but that might be because he noticed I was hurt (although I think I hid that from him very well), or it might just be that he doesn't like me for any of the thousands of reasons not to like me. I don't know, but there's still time we still have alot of games and hopefully I can show him something.

Besides that school is coming to the end of the semester which is never good, cause it means that all the slacking off you did all semester is catching up with you, but it's cool, no need to stress.

Outside of school and basketball there is health and churchI suppose. I'm fairly healthy, the ankles hurt...pretty much all the time...but it's nothing unbearable. I'm still kind of getting over a cold and I'm always congested which is no fun, but it's more of an annoyance than anything. Church is remaining awesome although I am yet to go to youthgroup, (seriously I want to), it's just really hard to find time on Sunday night to go with homework and sleep, and everything else. But this past Sunday was really good. Church was great and then I just hung out with Rachel and we watched Mr. and Mrs. Smith which was pretty cool, nothing to be taken too seriously, but definately entertaining. it was a good day.

So that's what's up, you can stop asking me now.

There you go and Jace you need to respond to the post I put on your xanga like 2 weeks ago, just let me know what is up with the Feb. break. Altight outski.

Hello...

So not alot has been up since my last post, pretty much still the same stuff, but i have nothing but homework to do, so I figured I'd post. So let's see... basketball is going good, the team is shaping up a little, we have our first game Friday night at 9:00pm at Etowah, and I expect to see all of you there! and if you don't like basketball you can come and watch Rachel cheer! *HOORAY CHEERLEADING!*  she really wants everybody to be there it's very important to her (signs and spotlights welcome). So besides basketball, there has been school, which is just really boring, I basically look at it as the time before practice, it's not really like something I'm doing, it's kind of like a show that's being performed for me, in other words, I don't do anything. It just takes up my time and I honestly do think I could be doing something much more meaningful with my time, but oh well that's just how it goes. It's not like I hate school or anything, it just seems like a waste at this point. Anyways, so last Sunday, Rachel, Kayla (my kid bro's girl), my whole family and I all went up to Berry College to watch the chorus concert because my little bro and my sister were in it. Me and Rachel went up there early so we could check out the campus alittle. It was cool, very nice campus, I really liked it but didn't really get a feel for the atmosphere because it was a Sunday so there weren't any students around. So that was a fun day, we met Emily's roommate, she's a trip, I can't even begin to explain her, just picture Scott and Deb's getting married and having a child, that's pretty much her, she was really nice though. So yeah that's pretty much how that went, but going and checking out college made it very real that I will be headed off to college soon, and I really need to get prepared. I have alot of things to take care of and alot discipline to learn so I should probably get started on that by going and doing my homework... Peace out holmes.

Okay... so I guess it's time to let all of you know what's been happening.

Things are going good, I'm doing well, well let's see what's happened since my last entry?

I've been up to alot actually, with basketball starting up and school really getting into the swing of things, I've kept very busy. I have practice everyday after school (and soon to be Saturdays as well) and then homework after that, I work on Saturdays and of course I have church on Sundays. Basketball is good, alot of injuries on the team though, we have 5 players injured right now and 3 of them are very key players, luckily it's just practice and we don't have a game until the 18th so hopefully we will be healthy by then. As for my ankles they're alright, they hurt... pretty much all the time, but I've gotten used to it and there's really nothing I can do about it. I am just hoping that I don't injure myself during the season. I've decided that if I get injured during the season, which will end any hope of a scholarship, then I will go ahead and have surgery. If not, I am really banking on getting at least a partial scholarship somewhere. I have a huge opportunity this season to get looked at and hopefully I stay injury free and can perform.

Basketball has obviously been the biggest thing on my mind lately but other things have happened as well. School is going pretty good, I am starting to figure out how my teachers teach, which allows me to better prepare for tests and what not. It's pretty easy still although I am having to study alittle for tests which is completely out of character for me. So all in all school is good, the sports programs are doing amazing the football team is in the state playoffs and the softball team got 2nd in state. Hopefully we can keep the win-streak alive.

I have been going to Fellowship as most of you know and I'm really enjoying it. The teachings have been great and the worship is, as always, fantasic. I am still trying to get involved which has not been easy because of how busy I have been. I like being busy sometimes, but sometimes I feel like I just need some time to breathe. It's kinda hard going to a church where you don't know anyone and not having your friends there to talk to or go out to lunch with afterwards, but that's just how it goes I guess. It's been worth it so far.

So that's the story as of now, that's what's been up. Life's been good, very excited about basketball, but still kinda worried, very busy but at least having fun. I have had a few tough times with just being exhausted or feeling like I never had time to do what I wanted but there's people in my life who are keeping it gangsta'. Anyways there's a post, I hope I quenched you thirst for Jacob, j/k, have a great day.

So, this week has been awesome so far! As some of you know Pope and I went to visit colleges this week. It all started on Sunday:

So Sunday morning I get up, finish packing, and go to meet Pope at church so we can leave, (this is going to be a pretty long post if you just want to give up now I won't be offended), so I get to church and it turns out that there is a lunch thing going on. I'm not very hungry because I have already drunk two mugs of coffee, but I stick around anyway just cause I had nothing better to do. So lunch is cool, but I started feeling really sick like halfway through and I didn't know why. Anyways, after lunch Pope and I meet up with Mike Debacker and his Roommate Jamie, and we head up to Lee Univ. in Tenn. it's not a bad drive, about an hour and 15 min. So we get to Lee and we're just hanging out, chillin you know, but I still feel really sick, I think I had a fever. Later on that night there is a Sean Groves (sp?) concert that we plan on going to. So Mike D. being the thug that he is decides to go in character, as a redneck, to the concert. So we go to the concert everything thing is cool, Mike proposes, mullet was called out, stuff went down you know, but I still feel sick. So after the concert we go back to the dorm to get some shut-eye because we plan on leaving at 4 a.m. the next morning. So Pope and I get in bed and start trying to go to sleep, only to be awoken by Mike and his friends playing music in the hallway. So we eventually get to sleep and wake up at 4 the next morning. By this point I feel pretty good. So we get in the van (Pope's mom's) and hit the road. For the first couple of hours Pope drives while I sleep in the back (we had it worked out nicely) and then I get up and start driving and he sleeps. So anyway, we eventually get to Elon, which is a Univ. in N.C. that our friend Hannah goes to, at about 10:30 a.m. We meet Hannah but she is on her way to class, so she calls one of her roommates to let us into the dorm to put our stuff down and chill out. So we go in the dorm chill out for a little while, get to know her rommates, Beth and Marie, take showers, you know chill. Then we have to go sit in on a choral class at 12:00 p.m. So Marie takes us on a little tour and shows us how to get to class. The class was exceptionally boring, mostly because I know nothing about chorus but seriously it was bad. So after class me and Pope just wander around a little bit and start checking out the campus. The campus is FRIGGIN SWEET! there's swans, I mean c'mon man they have freakin swans! Anyways so after marveling at the magnificence of the campus we meet back up with Hannah and have lunch. Lunch is good, nothing too fancy but good none the less and it was free so who can complain? After lunch we went back to the dorm and met the fourth roommate Whitney and some guy named Dave, and then we went to this cookout thing and had hotdogs with Hannah and Beth. So later on that night my dad is supposed to meet us for dinner, he keeps calling me and telling it's going to be later and later and I'm like okay as long as it's not too late because we had plans to see Third Floor Smith **party music** So we end up eating at about 11:00 and getting back at around 12 to go see Third Floor Smith **party music** Third Floor Smith is a guys dorm that is notorious for parties hence the **party music** So we check that out, it's pretty cool, nothing crazy because it's a monday night, but the Redskins/Cowboys game was on and the SKINS WON BABY! so that was cool. After that we went back to the dorm to go to sleep, I almost got raped, the futon was amazing, and that was Monday. So Tuesday we wake up around noon, and just chill out, all of the girls were at class so me and Pope just hung around in the room until we were supposed to meet them for lunch at 2:00 p.m. So at two, we meet at the fountain and go to some sandwich place and get some food with all of the girls and then say our goodbyes and head towards GA. Southern. It's a long drive so we decide to split it up into two days. So we drive all day tuesday and then finally stop at a rest area and sleep. So Wed. morning we wake up and continue driving only to find out we missed a turn. So we go back, get on the right track and eventually end at Ga. Southern. So we start walking around, becoming increasingly dissapointed with the campus, but we have to hang out because we have a tour at 2. So anyway the tour sucked, Ga. Southern sucks, there was nothing to be said about it and I'm tired so I'm going to bed, if you are still reading this I commend you, have a great life. peace.
